Steve Lithgow

Lead Trainer and Assessor

Steve joined Sellafield Fire and Rescue in 1988. Part of his role is to provide the ambulance response on site. In 1993 he was trained with Scottish Ambulance Service at Glasgow to their exacting standards as an Emergency Medical Technician. After returning to Cumbria, he undertakes regular refresher training and has shaddowed the North West Ambulance Service as part of his Continual Professional Development.

This, and almost 20 years of practice at Sellafield, have provided him with an enormous bank of experience to bring to his training.

Steve is also a water rescue technician, a qualified sports therapist and for 9 years was a rugby league coach.
